I'm back: The Best Day of my life

So, It has been one month exactly since I married my best friend.
Planning the wedding and the day of the wedding offered struggles I did not foresee, however it was all worth it. The wedding was beautiful, I was surrounded by wonderful friends and family, and I DANCED my butt off all night. With a few hiccups the day of it turned out better than I imagined. I cried more than I thought I would ( like every time I opened my mouth or looked at my husband!), I realized what a strain a wedding puts on yourself and the people involved and I realized how close I was to my mom and my pat!
I do feel however, that I grew up a lot in the process. I am slowly becoming the adult woman I know I am supposed to be.
No more talking here are some pictures!!!( just a few because I don't have the professional ones yet)

Just some of me and my man!
Happy one month and here's to mannnnnnnnnyyyy more!

Wedding invitations

I have a lot of my wedding already planned...but for some reason I can't shake that nervous ,tummy twisted, I left the iron on and its burning my house down feeling.
Is that normal ladies?

One of the things that is stressing me out is invitations. I want it to be cute, unique, fun and not drain my wedding funds. I get overwhelmed reading these crafty blogs with these crafty wives to be creating magic out of nothing. But I am determined to have fun with this...So here are some cute ideas I've seen around the web.

oh and if any wedding veterans have ideas, advice send it my way...

1. Tie the knot wedding invites....totally and looks simple

2.Plant-able seed cards

3. something that shows the couples personality like this photo booth invite

4. Film canister wedding invite...totally unique

5. Picture wedding invites.. I love how the pictures are arranged!
I think my favorites are four and five

What did you do for your wedding invites???

cheers

Wedding Dress up!

I think one of the most exciting part of planning the wedding and all the extra stuff is the fashion involved. Its no secret that I am obsessed with clothes , shopping and all thing pretty. SO, why would my wedding be any different. I am constantly searching the Internet for beautiful things. I want a beautiful dress, something beautiful for the rehearsal, we are having a party after the wedding( because i graduate the Sunday after i get married) and i want something for that. I thought I would share some of my favorite items, styles and other what nots.

1. Lace dresses..I am in love with Lace and really really want a dress with lace.

2. This fabulous vintage jumper. It looks like a wedding jumper. Its quirky like me and I so wish I could get it and wear it to my rehearsal dinner, or anywhere really because its divine.(Found here)

3. Short fifties style dresses. I am obsessed with vintage and the fifties is my era of choice. the dresses nip in your waist and give everyone that beautiful woman's figure.

Wedding

So I have been biting my tongue for a couple weeks as I prepared and planned for my wedding pre-proposal. I know it sounds a little premature , but the mister and I decided to start. We have been talking seriously about getting married for a year now and frankly I've known its him since the moment I saw him as I walked down the steps in the DFW airport we i went to visit him a couple years ago..but more on that later :).

But since he planned to propose soon he said it was fine if i started. A week ago today he proposed in my back yard under the stars . It wasn't the way he wanted it to be but he put my wants and eagerness ahead of his own desires for our proposal and did it. I am incredibly lucky and grateful to have a man in my life that makes me number one in everything.

I have the venue and date booked: May 18th in this lovely Garden where I live. It is basically magic. And they take care of everything except invitations and flowers....so I am practically done planning...strange. Here are some pictures....

I'm thrilled to finish planning, get dresses with my brides maids( Ashley(moh), Amanda, Sabrina and cami) and finally be legally bound to my best friend and the best man I know. Expect lots of wedding posts and ooshy gooshy love posts to my soon to be hubby.

YAY IM GETTING MARRIED!
