zoom zoom

The last couple months have gone by with a fierce quickness and I am okay with that!
February is just about to end, happy birthday pipo, and that means my birthday, dals birthday, his step sons birthday, spring break, a test, a quiz , projects and lots of fun! I am excited for the rest of this year because in May I will be half way to me BA degree!! How exciting and adult does that sound???!!! I am almost a real adult..almost haha.

In the spirit of the birthday filled month of march ( i know six people or more who have a birthdays in march and today is my dads) I thought I would put together a list of things that inspire me and remind me of birthdays.
1.
When I think of birthdays I think of parties, not like crazy beer filled parties. I think of pretty afternoon, lace wearing, scone serving tea parties. I love this picture and its my goal to have a tea party birthday one year. I love this picture the table setting, the colors , the fabrics are sooooo beautiful!

2.

There is no birthday without wonderful sweets. This yea I think I am going to make some peach pie, fruit salad and munch on some GF cakes!! I love when people do candy tables I think they are pleasing to the eye and a nice touch of whimsy.

3.

I love wrapping presents and making them lovely. I love when people do that too. I think its such a sweet gesture to put some extra effort in where its not expected and its like a mini craft!

4.
There is nothing like a party dress, right?!I love this photo, its taken by my lovely friend Libby of libbyloo photography and her photographs always inspire me.

I hope everyone has a wonderful last day of February and has a wonderful March!!!

Awesome night

( this is 19 year old me thrilled to meet Josh Ritter in person at Yosemite. Geez I look different!)

Friday night me and two of my favorite boys( Dal and Jacob) drove to the Fillmore and saw Josh Ritter. If you don't know Josh Ritter you need to put it on the top of your to do list; you wont regret it. This is the fourth or fifth time I have seen him and it gets better every time. He is truly a wonderful performer and a fantastic musician!

Here are some photos form the night:

This is where Josh played, its his state flag( Go Idaho!).

Jacob and me! I am so glad he is home and could come out with us, he just moved back from a couple month stay in Mr. Ritter's state

I got a guitar pic Josh threw in the crowd. I'm adding it to my collection. I have a signed shirt, a signed set list and now this! *swoon fan girl swoon*

me and my loverbird.

This is Scott Hutchinson ( of the Frightened Rabbits) from Scotland and he opened for Josh. He it was a nice surprise because you don't always get good opening bands. Together they sang a wonderful cover of the Everly Brothers song 'Stories we could tell'. Scott seemed to be swooning over josh the entire song, but who could blame him.

I am sooooo glad I did not miss him while he was in town. Thank Josh and band for putting on a wonderful performance and not making me regret spending a night out instead of studying!

Love notes: Question

My loverbird had his academy interview today and just like I said he was accepted. I knew he would because he is an amazing man who is very good at his job. He has been missing police work since he left Texas to move here for me. I am more than thrilled to know that he is on the way back to a job he loves.

Dallas I am so proud of you and I can't imagine life without you. I know things have been lame because you just wanted to be a cop again and you were being a baby whale, but I will always be here for you; whatever you need.
So one question...hopefully you don't have any plans...want to grow old with me?

Gluten Free product review: Lunch time!

Easy, quick and yummy lunch that's allergen free!

How much do you love things battered and breaded?! That extra crunch , the golden outside..it offers so much extra flavor and texture to the food. For me it is not as easy. However I have found a wonderful brand called Ian's who make a lot of allergy free food. The food is actually created for kids with allergies, so the boxes are bright and the types of food they make are kid friendly( and adult friendly too). They make GF chicken nuggets, GF french toast sticks, Waffles, pizza bread and one of my favorite products they make are their GF breaded fish sticks.

These lovely delights are wheat, gluten, soy, milk, casein, egg and nut free. So, unless you happen to be allergic to fish these are wonderfully safe and healthy for your tummy. They make a lot of wonderful allergen free products for those who eat swimmies like me and also walkies( animals that swim or animals that walk lol).

On these cold rainy days we have been having Ian's fish sticks with a hot cup of tomato soup are a perfect lunch or even a lazy dinner. Check out their website and explore their other products , you wont be sorry you did!

Love notes: I'm here for you

I have been absent from blogging for a while. I have been focusing on my family because my grandma was in the hospital .

But in better news my beautiful , wonderful man has an interview with the police academy. I am so thrilled for him and excited for what is in store for us.

Dallas I am so proud of you and I adore you !! Good luck tomorrow!!!

2. My grandma( moms mom) had a horrible heart attack but she is coming home to MY house and I got to spend the weekend with my mom, my pat, Dallas, and my uncle Robert who is wonderful. I AM THANKFUL.

3. These weeks have been crazy and super woman, formally known as my mom, but I think they might be evening out and I am glad I got to help my mom. I AM THANKFUL

3. This weekend I am going on a Friday early V-day date to cafe gratitude, Saturday going to the farmers market with my beautiful bestie Ashley , then she and I will see a movie will my newly beardless boy AND Sunday GF Monte cristo vegan style for me meaty and cheesy for him! I AM THANKFUL

4. I was able to change my schedule so I have a four day weekend. I AM THANKFUL.

There are always ALWAYS negative , sad, bad, useless distractions , tragedies going on in everyone's life, however there are little blessing settled in each one. So I am taking the time to be thankful
